Some of our favorite parts of this episode:
“...A mirror is we are seeing we're reflecting certain aspects of alignment, but it's not the whole picture. It's not the whole three-dimensional beam, right? And then Dharma...
Dharma is your purpose.
Something that lights you up and feels like this is what you were put on this planet to do that it serves others. And it gives you enough pleasure in your work that you just keep going and keep dreaming, even when it gets tough, even when it gets hard.
So think of your venture, your career, your business, that you're building, which one of these do you think you're in right now?
And if you're starting or dreaming of a new business venture, like which one is it? And wouldn't it be great iff you could find out now that it's a shadow career, it's going to save you thousands of dollars and maybe years of your life, or maybe even it's going to save the rest of your life. Something I repeated in my head over and over again was I'm trying to find my purpose.”
“So let's talk about Dharma now. And when all of those three come together and create this portal of just opportunity and joy in creating a fluence.
Deepak Chopra said, "Each of us has a Dharma, a purpose in life".
When we are in Dharma, we enjoy and love our work. Dharma is our purpose in calling and our search for purpose is a very, very common human experience and desire.
This is like this innate deeper thing of like, what am I here to do? What is my purpose? We've all wondered, what are we good at? What are we supposed to do?”
“Sometimes, I think people feel like, or think that we only have one Dharma and that's, and that's very possible, but we are such multifaceted beings. You and I are never one thing.
I believe that we can have multiple dharmas and actually that we can have a Dharma and then we might shift and grow into something that's like this next level in greater, or maybe where we have such amazing alignment in all three of these circles.
As we grow in specific areas, maybe they become less and less aligned, right?
You can have purpose and Dharma in multiple areas of life, not just in business. It could be in being a parent, being a successful entrepreneur, being a musician or an artist.
But it's possible that what we think of as our Dharma, now it might be a mirror later and that's okay.
Because the goal is always to do what we feel called to do.
And it's also okay. If what we feel like is our Dharma and our calling isn't paying the bills right now. These things might be separate.”
