Some of our favorite parts of this episode:

“I woke up at about 4:10 a.m Every single day without an alarm clock. Even if I went to bed at like eight or ten o'clock, I woke up and I went through a morning routine and I loved it and it just gave me so much energy.

I was working out, I was reading, I was journaling, I was doing meditations and stretching, all these things to take care of myself... and then I would work.

Sometimes I would be on client calls by 6:00 AM, either at the coffee shop or in the other bedroom that was downstairs. And it was amazing. I passed some goals that I had for my business as well, financially. It was a very empowering experience, but things that were happening to me up there, I'd never really experienced before where I could work hours and be lost in my work that I was just waking up.

And I just had energy, so much energy throughout the days, and even though I was processing some really hard trauma at the same time, I felt just suddenly free.”

“I was so frustrated and I was like, why am I doing any of this? What really matters? And I just looked at the book and I was like, I am not doing this podcast schedule that I just scheduled. I crossed it out. And then I was like, you know what? I don't even know if I want to continue this podcast.

When I get back, is this really what I want to leave the world with? Is this what I really want to give to the world?

And when I was surrounding myself worth with my productivity, I didn't think it was healthy. The things I were sharing were very healthy and had helped me, but it's like, no, this is not what I want to leave. So I started looking at everything else I wrote, and started crossing off everything that didn't matter.

I ended up crossing out everything and then I just screamed out in my head again, like, what matters? What do I do? What do I need? And I didn't hear a voice. I didn't start thinking, and all this thought processing,

...a word just came to me and it was surrender.”

“So if you're listening to my voice, hearing the spaces in between my words helps us become evermore present. So being in silence is also like in meditation, we can start to think or feel our own way.

We calm the storms within us, all this other opinions of others in society, or should all of this can get quiet... We can start hearing our own whisper of our own thoughts or desires or our inspiration when we're silent.

So spending some time in solitude, being quiet and silent away from our devices, is a very good practice for me. I love and attach myself a little bit to being the lone Wolf. And I experienced so much of that. And I think that was a huge aspect of when I lived up on the mountain, I didn't have cell service pretty much when I left the house and only in a few places in town. So anywhere I went anywhere, I had no phone, I had music only phones in the car and it was just me by myself, that silence of being in nature. It was absolutely amazing. It was an experience.”

“Great creator. I surrender this vessel to you for your creations to be made a physical manifestation in this world. I am not more distant, but ever closer to you.

When I follow my creative calling and heart, I embrace the silence of mind and environment that allows your will and ideas for me and this world to be heard. I embrace simplicity in my plans and actions.

You've made the greatest things in life.

Simple man has shrouded them in complication. I put down my work and my to-do list to spend time enjoying your creations, the earth and other souls.

I serve others through my work. I serve your will through my creations. I serve you when I give space and patience to my mind, body, heart, and work.

You created us. And this universe, I ask you to unfold my life. According to your plan, not the roles of society, fears and lies of low self-worth help us to remember It's never too late and there is no rush that we're not too small or flawed to be healed.

Help us to love one another to nurture each other's unfolding to encourage each other's growth and understand each other's fears, help me to create as an act of worship to you.”
